TARGET is the term we use to refer to the item you want to monitor such as your web site, ftp site, email, url, server, device, etc. What email will my paypal payment go to? Your paypal payment will go to payment@djgrp.net How will my paypal payment show in my credit card bill? Look for this charge "JimenezD". Do you keep my credit card number in your server? No. We never see or store your credit card information. You will make your payment directly to the company handling our payment transactions. All credit card transactions are being handled by a reputable payment institution. What is the timeout for all types of targets or how long will the monitoring system wait for a server to respond when doing a check? The maximum timeout for everything are 22 seconds (Be aware that because of unpredictable circumstances, the timeout sometimes exceeds 22 seconds). What is the maximum page size that a HTTP/HTTPS check will download? The maximum page size is 100K. What is the maximum file size that a FTP/SFTP check will download? The maximum file size is 5K. If your file is bigger, it will be truncated. What is the name of the file to be downloaded when doing a FTP/SFTP download check? The name of the file is websitealert_p_download.txt. It is mandatory to have this file in your server if you buy FTP/SFTP service, if the file is not found, you will get a failure alert. What is the name of the file to be uploaded when doing a FTP/SFTP upload check? The name of the file is websitealert_p_upload.txt. We will upload this file to your server in every monitoring check for FTP/SFTP service. We provide this file; you do not have to do anything. What protocol and port do you use for PING? PING is using TCP port 80. Notice that we do not use ICMP in any of our monitoring checks. How will your monitoring check show on my web server logs? We will not say anything specific about it because we are using many different modules to do the monitoring checks. The checks will show in your logs; you have to look for them. Can I purchase more than one monitoring service for the same target? Yes. Even if the target name is the same, you can buy more than one service for it. How much is your monitoring service? You must click on the "Pack Price" menu to find out. How much personal information do I have to give you? We need your name, address, email and credit card (credit card information goes directly to our payment provider. We never see or store your credit card information). Will you sell or distribute my personal information? No. We will never sell or distribute your personal information. How do you check my web site? Look at the "Pack Price" and "How to" menu for that information. Who created this system? This is a complete creation by Doney Jimenez in North NJ, USA. How can I delete or cancel my account? "Login", then pick "Delete your account". When will my monitoring begin? Within 24 hours after we receive your payment. How can I contact you? Click on "Contact" at the main menu. I forgot my password. What can I do? Click on "Get password" from the main menu. Your password will be sent to your email. How should my HTTP, HTTPS target be formatted? Do not put a prefix such as "http and https" in your URL. Any type of URL is welcome. Here are some examples: domain.com, domain.com/directory, domain.com/directory/page.html, subdomain.domain.com/directory/page.html and subdomain.domain.com. Of course, your domain can have any type of suffix like: com, org, info, tv, gov, co, uk or any other type and country. What characters do you allow users to input? Look at the "Sign up" form for valid characters. Can I change the email in my account? Yes you can. How many emails can I alert when my Target fails? You can have up to 10 emails. Can I alert different emails for each different target? Yes, you can have up to 10 different emails for each different target. Do you spam or send advertisement to my emails? No, there will be no advertisement or spam of any kind. Do you keep failures log? Yes, we keep a year worth of logs. You will have access to it all the time and you will be able to sort it by several criteria such as the most recent failures. Logs are updated every 24 hours. Do monitoring checks generate bandwidth traffic? Yes it does. If you are concerned with your bandwidth or quota, you should consider buying our PING service. It has little or no effect on your bandwidth and quota. How come the "timeout" for one of the entries in my failure-log is greater than it should be? We cannot act against unpredictable events. There will always be the possibility of this happening. We are not perfect, but we do what is humanly possible to maintain a reasonable service. My target size failed this morning once but you sent me alerts all day long, why? Yes, that is how target size for http and https monitoring works. If your target size fails it won't be reset until 00:00 hours Eastern USA. Only these types of monitoring take this long to be reset. Any other type of failure on the same target will be identified as usual. How many free web sites (targets) can I have in my account? Only one. How can I delete my failure logs? You cannot delete your failure logs. Your logs will be deleted only when you close your account. Individual log entries will be deleted after one year. |
